Jordan Addison narrows transfer destination finalists to Texas, USC
Then, there were two. Reigning Biletnikoff Award winner and former Pittsburgh wide receiver Jordan Addison has narrowed his football future down to either Texas or USC, according to On3’s Gerry Hamilton.
Additionally, Addison — the biggest prize remaining transfer portal — is expected to make his decision soon, per Hamilton.

Addison was first officially linked to the Longhorns on May 10, when he posted a story on his Instagram of himself in Texas, and Hamilton later confirmed the former Panthers star was on an official visit with the program. Later that weekend, Addison took his talents on an official visit to the USC campus in sunny California, and then was expected to take a visit with Nick Saban at Alabama, which is no longer the case.
Last year with Pittsburgh, Addison had 100 receptions for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns to help lead the Panthers to an 11-3 overall record, including a 7-1 mark in ACC play, and a Peach Bowl appearance against Michigan State. Addison is also a potential preseason All-American candidate for the 2022 season and garnering some way-too-early 2023 NFL Draft hype.
Out of high school, Addison was a four-star recruit and the No. 9 prospect in the state of Maryland from the Class of 2020, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also comes in as a member of the On3 NIL 100 as the No. 98-ranked player with an NIL Valuation of $139K.
LOOK: Quinn Ewers makes case for Pitt transfer Jordan Addison to transfer to Texas
It’s no secret across the college football landscape that Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison is the most coveted player in the transfer portal and it’s not even close. He recently took an official visit to the Texas Longhorns and they are battling it out with the USC Trojans and many other teams for his services.
Last week on Twitter, one of the most highly touted quarterback prospects in college football recruiting history, Quinn Ewers, made his case for Addison to join him in Austin.

You have to admit, the colors do look good on the former Pittsburgh star wide receiver. If Addison were to join the already loaded receiving corps of Isaiah Neyor and Xavier Worthy at Texas–the Longhorns would easily have one of the nation’s best wide receiver corps.
Of course, USC is also making a hard push Addison — the top transfer on the open market, according to the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings. In fact, WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader put his prediction into the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine last week, and the RPM gives Addison a 100% chance of ending up with Lincoln Riley and USC.
However, Texas changed everything by entering the fray for the star wide receiver, as well. Alas, it could make things interesting as he prepares to make a decision, but it isn’t a total shock. Addison posted a picture to his Instagram story from his hotel in Austin, Texas, hinting at a visit to Texas that Hamilton later confirmed as an official visit for the star wide receiver as he weighs his next steps.
As you can see, the eyes of the college football world are on Jordan Addison. A decision that could shape the 2022-23 college football season seems imminent.
