Jordan Addison sets official visit to USC for this weekend

It’s been a transformative offseason for USC, but the Trojans could still land one more star. According to Gerry Hamilton of On3, Jordan Addison — electrifying wide receiver for Pittsburgh and defending Biletnikoff Award winner who’s currently in the transfer portal — is set for an official visit at USC this weekend.

Evidently, USC is making a hard push Addison — the top transfer on the open market, according to the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings. In fact, WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader put his prediction into the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine last week, and the RPM gives Addison a 100% chance of ending up with Lincoln Riley and USC.

However, Texas has entered the fray for the star wide receiver, as well. Alas, it could make things interesting as he prepares to make a decision, but it isn’t a total shock. Earlier this week, Addison posted a picture to his Instagram story from his hotel in Austin, Texas, hinting at a visit to Texas that Hamilton later confirmed as an official visit for the star wide receiver as he weighs his next steps.

Additionally, CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd listed Texas as a potential team to watch as Addison weighs his options in the portal last week. He said the Longhorns are a team to “keep your eyes on” as Steve Sarkisian tries to round out his roster in time for training camp.

As you can see, the eyes of the college football world are on Jordan Addison. When the star wide receiver takes his trip to Los Angeles, we could finally have our answer regarding his future.

Since those rumors started before Addison officially entered, Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi accused USC and Riley of tampering.

Addison arrived in Pittsburgh as the No. 218 recruit in the Class of 2020, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Since then, he became a five-star college prospect, according to the On3 College Rating, and the No. 1 receiver in the country, as well as the nation’s No. 4 player.
