Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry four-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds is ready to make his commitment decision, and he has a date locked in, he tells On3’s Chad Simmons.
On Sunday, Simmons reported that Edmonds will announce his choice on his birthday, February 19. And he will choose between Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-3, 160-pounder is the No. 140 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 12 cornerback and the No. 19 recruit in Georgia.
The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs are currently the co-favorites to land him, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Last month, he told Simmons that Alabama was his top school and recruiting as hard — or harder — than any other program.
“Alabama is on top. All four are still very high on my list, but Alabama has the top spot,” he said. “I have been there four or five times and they make me feel most at home. The Alabama coaches treat me and my family good and that always stands out.
… Another thing I like is how I could play early there and fit into the rotation. Coach Mo (Maurice Linguist) is who I talk to the most and he is great. I have seen how involved in the drills he is. At practice, coach Mo is sweating, working with his players and he takes it personal.”

Other schools in the mix for Edmonds
In addition to the Crimson Tide, Edmonds broke down a few of the other programs that he’ll choose between:
Florida: “I have been to Florida for a Junior Day and a game and there is a good feeling there. They make it feel personal and I like that. Coach Will Harris recruits me hard and I like him. Florida has great facilities too and it is a beautiful place.”
Georgia: “Georgia is a place I have been a lot. I have visited Georgia at least five times. It is close to home, it is a really good program and they will play young players. Coach Donte Williams and I talk almost every other day and he always wants me up in Athens. The coaches and the players make it fun to be there.”
Tennessee: “Tennessee was one of my earlier offers and I have only been there once, but they have really recruited me hard. I like how they coach, I train with some players that are going there and I wanted do get back on campus. Tennessee has been playing well and I like that they are doing.”
