Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy four-star quarterback George MacIntyre is one of the top players in the 2025 cycle. Both Tennessee and Vanderbilt are hoping to keep him in-state for his college football career.
The SEC rivals got another look at MacIntyre on Friday night. Both Volunteers head coach Josh Heupel and Commodores head coach Clark Lea were spotted at his basketball game.
MacIntyre is the No. 56 overall prospect and No. 6 quarterback in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Tennessee.
The 6-foot-5, 180-pound signal-caller is the grandson of former Vanderbilt head coach George MacIntyre, who coached the Commodores from 1979-1985. His uncle is Mike MacIntyre, the head coach at FIU.

The Tennessee native has an On3 NIL Valuation of $64K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
