Alabama will be without its top cornerback during the College Football Playoff.

Josh Jobe underwent surgery this week to repair a foot injury and will miss the rest of the season, sources tell On3.

Jobe, a preseason second-team All-American, has played in 12 of the Crimson Tide’s 13 games and has 38 tackles and two interceptions. Alabama coach Nick Saban revealed after the Tide’s win over LSU November 6 that Jobe had been working through a turf toe injury.

With Jobe sidelined, Alabama’s two starting cornerbacks will likely be redshirt junior Jalyn Armour-Davis and five-star freshman Kool-Aid McKinstry. Armour-Davis, who is tied for the team-lead with three interceptions, has missed the Tide’s last two games with a hip injury.

Alabama, the top-seed in the College Football Playoff, plays No. 4 Cincinnati in the Playoff semifinals December 31 in Dallas.
