4-star ATH Josiah Brown announces top 10 schools
Hicksville (N.Y.) Holy Trinity Diocesan four-star athlete Josiah Brown has announced his top 10 schools. The list includes Duke, Georgia, Michigan, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina and Syracuse.
Brown is the No. 125 overall prospect and No. 10 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in New York.
On3 rates Brown higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. He is the No. 50 overall prospect and No. 5 athlete and No. 1 player in New York in the 2024 On300.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Rutgers as the favorite to land a commitment from Brown at 55%.
In January took a visit to Rutgers on the 15th. He then attended Penn State’s Junior Day on Jan. 21 and a week later he took a visit to Georgia.

“I love the way Coach (James) Franklin was with me and my family,” Brown told BWI’s Ryan Snyder following the Penn State visit. “He really welcomed us with open arms. He shared a lot of facts with us about Penn State.
“I learned a lot about the degree there and how much it holds up when you graduate from Penn State. We talked a lot about that and just how important I am to them in this class.”
