3-star S Josiah Cox reveals top five schools
San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln three-star safety Josiah Cox announced his top five schools on Sunday. They are Arizona State, Fresno State, Oregon State, San Diego State and Washington State.
Cox is the No. 1,176 overall prospect and No. 115 safety in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 102 player in California.
On3 rates Cox higher than other recruiting services, per the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, Cox is the No. 113 safety in the country.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a very close race for Cox’s commitment. Fresno State currently has the lead at 30.8%, while Oregon State (26.9%) and Washington State (23.1%) are not far behind.

The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
