Justin Jefferson calls out officiating for taking away touchdown vs Lions

Even early in his NFL career, former LSU and current Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has proven to be an elite talent. In a frustrating loss to the Detroit Lions, he put up massive numbers with 11 receptions for 223 yards. However, he probably should have had a touchdown too.
The play came when Justin Jefferson while working from the slot, then caught a ball downfield in traffic. He broke several tackles but was bumped near the sidelines. There, a referee ruled him out of bounds, negating his long run to the end zone.
On watching the replay, it becomes clear that Justin Jefferson didn’t step out of bounds and should have scored a touchdown. In response, Jefferson took to Twitter to call out the bad call.
In a quote tweet of a video of the play that asked why the play wasn’t a touchdown, Justin Jefferson made his case. He used a neutral face emoji and said, “Give me my TD maneeee.”

By dropping this game to Detroit, Minnesota fell to 10-3 on the season. That’s good for first in the NFC North. Meanwhile, Detroit secured a hold of second place in the NFC North, with a losing record at 6-7. However, the Lions have won five out of their last six games. With four games remaining, they’re not eliminated yet.
Whether or not Jefferson faces any fallout for his comments remains to be seen.
Justin Jefferson had his gloves enshrined in the hall of fame
Earlier this season, Justin Jefferson made what is thought to be one of the best catches in NFL history against the Buffalo Bills. In that catch, he dove backward and made a one-handed grab while in coverage.
It was an incredible catch, and now his gloves from that catch have been enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
