Coach Prime is wasting no time. After being officially announced as the head coach at Colorado yesterday, Deion Sanders has been offering prospects across the country as he looks to rebuild the Buffaloes’ roster. The latest target for him is five-star Iowa offensive tackle commit Kadyn Proctor.
The 6-foot-6, 330-pounder announced the offer on his Twitter account on Monday morning. This is the first offer he’s received from Colorado, but not the first from Coach Prime. Jackson State was among his finalists over the summer before he ultimately chose the in-state Hawkeyes.

Now, Colorado is making a run at him.
Proctor is the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 2 offensive tackle in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Iowa.
In addition to the Buffs, Oregon, Alabama and a handful of other schools remain in pursuit. Proctor officially visited Oregon last month, and ScoopDuck.com insider Justin Hopkins placed an expert pick in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) for him to flip to Oregon.
Kadyn Proctor On3 Scouting Summary
The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Kadyn Proctor:
“Wide, physically-developed offensive tackle who excels as a mauling run blocker. Dominant at the point of attack, using strong and quick hands to neutralize opposing defensive linemen. Plays with a nasty mentality as a block finisher, planting defensive linemen in the ground with regularity. Moves well and shows his athleticism as a defensive lineman. Does not appear to have high-end length for an offensive tackle and tends to lunge at times in his pass set.”
