Stanford’s 2022 recruiting class just got a big boost. Highly recruited Kamari Ramsey of Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon announced Saturday afternoon he was staying in-state to play for the Cardinal.
Kamari Ramsey, who is 6-foot-1.5 and 195 pounds, had more than 20 scholarship offers, including from programs like Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Cal, Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC.
“I chose Stanford because the school is all about excellence,” Ramsey said. “Everyone there is trying to be the best version of themselves, and I want to be surrounded by that.
“Also, the Stanford degree holds weight anywhere in the country. They also develop their players very well because they don’t get all the five stars but they compete every year.”
Ramsey will play in the Polynesian Bowl game after his senior season. He took his official visit to Stanford on June 25. He also took official visits to Ohio State and USC.
