Report: Kansas City Chiefs star Tyreek Hill suffers injury in week 18
Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver Tyreek Hill reportedly suffered an injury in pregame warmups ahead of today’s AFC divisional showdown vs. the Denver Broncos.
“Per @LauraRutledge, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill hurt his heel during warmups. That’s why Hill has been limited in terms of his snaps so far in the game.” NFL Insider Field Yates tweeted.
By the end of the first quarter, Hill hadn’t been targeted once, although the Chiefs haven’t publicly noted an injury to their dynamic wideout, according to Pro Football Talk.
With five minutes remaining until half time, the Broncos have a 14-7 lead over the Kansas City Chiefs and Hill hasn’t recorded a single reception.
Hill entered the week with a career-high 110 receptions for 1,237 yards and nine touchdowns.
This will certainly be a storyline to follow not only in this game, but as the Kansas City Chiefs attempt to make another run at the Lombardi Trophy.

With the top seed on the line, the Broncos continued to keep the momentum with a slim edge heading into the third quarter. Trailing 2`1-7, Patrick Mahomes finally connected with his star wideout for the first time in the game. Though it was just a one-yard quick out, Hill fought through the injury and it was enough to keep the drive going.
“How many times have you seen them do this with Tyreek Hill,” ESPN announcer Kirk Herbstreit said on the broadcast. “While it only went for one yard, it was a big one.”
