Kansas State, former Iowa WR Keagan Johnson plans to enter transfer portal

Kansas State receiver Keagan Johnson plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, he announced Friday afternoon. Johnson is entering the portal after finishing second on the team in receiving in 2024.
The former Iowa receiver caught 29 passes for 359 yards and a touchdown this past season. He announced that he was entering the transfer portal with a post on Twitter.
“Thank you Kansas State and the community of Manhattan for the overwhelming support during my time as a Wildcat,” Keagan Johnson posted. “I will forever cherish my time here, and I will keep these memories forever. With that being said, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. Thank you God!”
Johnson signed with Iowa after being ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 13 athlete in the country in the class of 2021, per the On3 Industry Rankings. He was immediately a big-time contributor for the Hawkeyes, playing in 13 games and making nine starts as a true freshman. He caught 18 passes for 352 yards and two touchdowns that season.
Johnson also played at Iowa in 2022, but he only appeared in two games due to an injury. He then entered the transfer portal, ending up at Kansas State.

In 2023, Johnson’s first with the Wildcats, he played in 11 games and made five starts. Johnson caught 24 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns that season and also rushed eight times for 26 yards. His final season at Kansas State, Johnson started eight of 12 games.

Kansas State OT Carver Willis entering NCAA Transfer Portal
In addition to Keagan Johnson, Wildcats starting offensive tackle Carver Willis is also entering the portal.
Willis has started 18 games and played in 35 overall during his five seasons with the Wildcats. In 2023, he played in all 13 games with starts in each of the first seven, earning All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors from the league’s coaches.
