Jenks (Okla.) High four-star running back Kaydin Jones announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Wednesday.

Jones chose the Cowboys over Vanderbilt and several others. He becomes commit No. 5 for head coach Mike Gundy and his staff in the 2026 cycle. Cory Patterson was the lead recruiter for Jones and helped Oklahoma State rally at the end of Jones’s process in landing him.

Jones is now the jewel of this Oklahoma State class.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder ranks as the No. 321 overall prospect and No. 23 RB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Oklahoma.

As a junior for Jenks, a Sooner State powerhouse, Jones ran for 814 yards and eight touchdowns while also catching a pair of TDs in eight games, per MaxPreps. He ran for over 1,200 yards as a sophomore, too. Jenks put together an 8-4 season in 2024 and finished as the No. 3 team in Oklahoma, according to the On3 Composite Rankings.

To date, the Cowboys have five commits in their 2026 class, three others of which have pledged this month.

Pearland (Texas) three-star EDGE Jaylen Stewart was the first to join the class on Feb. 20. He ranks as the No. 488 recruit and No. 62 player in the Lone Star State.

Tulsa (Okla.) Berryhill three-star offensive tackle Aidan Martin, Carthage (Mo.) three-star EDGE Landon Bland and Bixby (Okla.) athlete Trey McGlothlin have since followed, bringing OSU’s quartet of pledges up to No. 45 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Last cycle, Gundy and his staff inked the No. 41 class, signing 22 high school prospects. Top signees included JUCO EDGE Chandavian Bradley, linebacker Carl’veon Young, EDGE Michael Riles, safety Jotavion Pierce and running back DJ Dugar.
