Keisean Henderson has proved himself to be among the nation’s top quarterback recruits over the past two years, and the five-star passer will have another chance to do so this summer.

Henderson, a Houston commit out of Legacy SSS High, has earned an invite to June’s Elite 11 Finals after being one of the top performers at Saturday’s regional in Austin. He is the second QB to get an invite on Saturday, along with Texas five-star commit Dia Bell.

There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the event, which will celebrate its 26th year in 2025. It bring together 20 of the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training in Los Angeles during the month of June.

Elite 11 alumni include Carson PalmerAndrew LuckMatthew StaffordTim Tebow, and more recently Trevor LawrenceC.J. StroudBryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured more than a dozen of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final On3 Industry Rankings, including five of the top six players at the position.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Henderson is one of the country’s most dynamic playmakers at the position, totaling more than 3,000 yards and 32 touchdowns as a junior, including seven on the ground. He was named the MVP of January’s Navy All-American Bowl as well, becoming the first underclassman to win the honor.

Other schools still trying to flip Henderson

The hometown star has been committed to the Cougars since May 27, 2024. Last month at Nike’s Next Ones event in New Orleans, Henderson had high praise for Willie Fritz and the Cougars’ coaching staff.

“The way (Fritz) moves, the way he’s able to pick up stuff, be a leader. Everywhere he went he’s always turned the program around. Just watching that from the past couple of years when he was at Tulane, he flipped that program,” Henderson said. “I’ve known coach Nagle since he was at Tulane, between coach (Shawn) Bell and coach Nagle, those were the first two that pulled the trigger on me at quarterback my sophomore year.”

Florida StateAuburnGeorgia, Alabama and SMU are among the schools who have remained in contact with him. However, he has yet to lock in visits with any program other than the Cougars.
