The big players to monitor early in the week for Alabama are the pair of injured wideouts, Law and Prentice.
“Right now, I would say they’re probable,” DeBoer said during Wednesday’s SEC coaches teleconference. “Just continue to work through practices and feeling better and better about it each and every day.”
Neither of them played in Saturday’s game against South Carolina due to their respective injuries. Law also missed the Vanderbilt matchup while Prentice suffered his injury in Nashville. Getting both of them back against Tennessee would be a major boost for Jalen Milroe and the Alabama offense.

Prentice has been more productive of the two, catching eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Law does have a score to his name too but has just two receptions for 41 yards. If there is an area where Law is really missed, it’s his blocking on the perimeter after fellow receivers catch passes or in the run game.
On the Tennessee side, the Volunteers lost Pili to a season-ending injury last weekend. He shared a heartfelt message this week reflecting on the news.
“To my brothers, coaches and staff, thank you for helping me become a better man on and off the field,” Pili wrote. “Let’s go finish what we started! To my family, wife and baby boy on the way, thank you for sacrificing for me to live my dream. I hope I made you proud. To Tennessee, friends and fans, thank you for treating me as family and giving me a place I can always call home. Your love and support has been felt during this time.
“To the game of football, I don’t know what the future holds, but thank you for a lifetime of memories I will cherish and never forget. As hard and confusing as life may be, I thank my Father in Heaven for allowing me to play this game, and I trust in His Plan. Same book, new chapter.”
