Keyshuan Tillery is a top 25 ranked point guard in the 2025 On3 150. The 6-foot-1 Tillery is a junior at New Hampton (NH) New Hampton School after playing this summer with the City Rocks Program on Nike’s EYBL Circuit where he averaged 10.1 points and 4.6 assists.

“I play pretty fast,” Tillery told On3. “I like playing in transition, getting my teammates involved, and getting downhill. I’m quicker this season in making the right pass and not over-dribbling. I’ve been working on my shot daily. I watch a lot of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, crafty small guards. They are poised and never sped up when they play, and they know how and when to get to their spots.”

On3 caught up with Keyshuan Tillery after a recent live viewing to talk about this recruitment.

“I’ve taken one official visit so far, to Northwestern,” Tillery said.

Tillery Breaks Down Northwestern Visit

“They just kept reaching out to me,” Tillery said. “They were reaching out daily and the connection felt genuine. It wasn’t like we just wanted to get you here, they were coming to my games and putting in an effort. I felt like their support was real.

“Going on the visit, I got to see just how dialed in the players are. I saw the connection the coaches and the players have. I feel like that is a big part of the recruitment, is that connection. The overall energy there was good. My favorite part of the campus was the view of the lake, that was great.”

Keyshuan Tillery Talks Recruitment

“I’m hearing a lot from schools like Washington, Temple, and Syracuse,” Tillery said.

WASHINGTON: “They have a great head coach. They like to play fast and they have good guards. I feel like that is a big reason why they are recruiting me.”

TEMPLE: “They’re a gritty school. Yeah, gritty is how I would describe them. They also love guards and like to get out in transition and push the pace.”

SYRACUSE: “They check in with me, see how I’m doing, how I’m playing. I know Carmelo (Anthony) was there. My old teammate, Trey (Autry), his dad is the head coach there now, so there is a connection there.”

“I’m hearing from schools like Providence and Stanford, that depends on my grades which are pretty good,” Tillery said. “But hopefully they offer soon. Schools like that.”

At the end of the day…

“I’m going through his process trying to see who is genuine,” Tillery said. “I will know what school I want to go to when it feels right, you know. I want to go to a school that has a good environment. A place that will help you both on and off the court and it is not just solely basketball. I am going to look at the player development and the person development. I’m going to keep a close eye on the long-term stuff.

“I am comfortable in a system that plays fast. I’ll want to look at a place where I can have the ball in my hands a decent amount of the time, and play for a coach that trusts me. Trust is big with me.”
