Early season SEC slate is now set

What’s clear from the early schedule release from the SEC is the first few weeks of the season, with all of the game times and TV designations now announced for the first three weeks of the season. There are some marquee games included in there, too.

Georgia and Clemson will kick things off in a nationally televised game at noon on ABC, to be followed by Florida and Miami on the same channel a little while latter at 3:30 p.m. ET. Notre Dame at Texas A&M will be the nightcap on the opening Saturday.

LSU will get its own spotlight on Sunday on opening weekend, with a neutral-site showdown against fellow playoff hopeful USC. That concludes the high-profile games on opening weekend.

The second week will have some equally compelling games, including a conference showdown between South Carolina and Kentucky. Meanwhile, Arkansas at Oklahoma State, Auburn vs. California and Texas at Michigan will provide some quality non-conference matchups.

Week 3 includes a trio of conference games with LSU at South Carolina, Texas A&M at Florida and Georgia at Kentucky. There are also a few Power Five non-conference matchups, including Alabama at Wisconsin, Missouri vs. Boston College and Ole Miss at Wake Forest.

All in all it’s a quality early slate, which we now have viewing times for.
