As Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher had their public spat earlier this month, one person people wanted to hear from was Georgia coach Kirby Smart. They got their wish Tuesday ahead of the SEC spring meetings — and he didn’t disappoint.

Smart put the situation into hilarious perspective, saying the public comments were nothing compared to what gets said during games. He made quite a comparison to Saban and Fisher’s remarks, which were highly publicized after Saban alleged Texas A&Mbought every player on their team” two weeks ago.

“You guys should be on the headphones [during a game] sometime,” Smart said, via AL.com’s Mike Rodak. “You’d think that was Mickey Mouse.”

After Saban’s initial comments, Fisher turned around and called Saban a “narcissist” during an emergency press conference. Saban later apologized on SiriusXM. That led to a public reprimand from Sankey and the SEC, and it adds to the intrigue of the meetings.

The SEC spring meetings are taking place this week in Destin, and it’s the first time Saban and Fisher will be in the same room since their comments. However, the SEC is making sure the two aren’t sitting near one another.

SEC makes interesting seating chart decision regarding Nick Saban, Jimbo Fisher during spring meetings

All eyes are sure to be on Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher at the SEC spring meetings after their public spat two weeks ago. The seating chart for the meetings is out — and the two coaches aren’t sitting close together.

Previously, SEC officials said the seating chart would be in alphabetical order by school. WJOX’s Pat Smith tweeted a picture of it, and Fisher is sitting between four SEC officials.

David Cutliffe and SEC commissioner Greg Sankey are two his left, and four officials are on his right. William King, Mark Wommack, John McDavid and Herb Vincent are all between Fisher and Saban.
