Kirk Herbstreit reveals his top performing teams of Week 6
Following another exciting week of college football, ESPN College GameDay host Kirk Herbstreit has revealed eight teams that impressed him the most over the weekend.
The Texas Longhorns occupy Herbstreit’s No. 1 performing team for Week 6 following the 49-0 rout of rival Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown. UCLA falls in directly behind, and continues to roll after defeating a tough Utah team by two scores at home.
No. 6 Tennessee is the talk of college football heading into Week 7 at home vs. No. 3 Alabama. Hendon Hooker has proved himself one of the top quarterbacks in the nation trough six games, and will be the Crimson Tide’s toughest opponent to date this season.

Kirk Herbstreit reveals his top performing players of Week 6
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit has named his list of top performing players from Week 6 of the college football season. Although he didn’t rank them in any particular order — four quarterbacks, three skill positions and one defensive performance made the cut on Herbstreit’s list.
Eight players made the list this week as top performers. TCU receiver Quentin Johnston, UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and running back Zach Charbonnetmade it together, as well as Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud. Pitt running back Israel Abanikanda had a massive day, as did dual-threat quarterbacks Chevan Cordeiro of San Jose State and Jeff Sims of Georgia Tech.
