Kirk Herbstreit reveals top performing players from Week 11
ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit has released his list of the top performing players from Week 11 after several big performances. It should come as no surprise that LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels leads off the list after a historic performance against the Florida defense in a 52-35 victory.
A couple of other SEC players also made Herbstreit’s list in Missouri running back Cody Schrader and Auburn linebacker Jalen McLeod. Of course, several players from other conferences were also represented, but the SEC had the most with those three.
You can view the full list of Herbstreit’s top performing players from Week 11 below.
QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
Daniels etched his name in record books Saturday against Florida by becoming the first player in college football history to throw for 350 yards and rush for 200 yards in the same game. The Tigers QB threw for 372 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions while also rushing for a career-best 234 yards and two scores.
Daniels has been the heartbeat of the LSU offense all season long with 3,164 yards passing, 918 yards rushing and 38 total touchdowns. He’s likely to soon join players such as Lamar Jackson, Johnny Manziel and Jalen Hurts as QBs who have passed for 3,000 yards and rushed for 1,000 in the same season as his Heisman hype continues to grow.
RB Cody Schrader, Missouri
Shrader could not be stopped in Saturday’s 36-7 bounce back win against Tennessee. Not only did the running back carve up the Vols defense for 205 yards rushing and a touchdown, but he also finished as Mizzou’s leading receiver with five catches for 116 yards.
The senior has now rushed for at least 100 yards in four of his past five games as the Tigers have already tied their highest win total since 2018. Shrader currently leads the SEC and ranks seventh in the country with 1,124 yards and 11 touchdowns.
RB RJ Harvey, UCF
It was a career day for Harvey as UCF surprisingly rolled over No. 15 Oklahoma State in a 45-3 blowout win. He finished with 206 yards rushing and three touchdowns, including breaking off for a 92-yard score in the third quarter.
The performance put the running back past the 1,000-yard mark this season for the first time in his career and he’s also scored 12 touchdowns. Six of those have come in the past two games as the Knights notched their first two Big 12 wins, and they’ll hope he can carry that momentum into next week against Texas Tech.
LB Kalen DeLoach, Florida State
DeLoach was the Seminoles leading tackler in a 27-20 win against Miami on Saturday, finishing with a career-high 10 takedowns and two sacks. He was part of an FSU defensive effort that held the Hurricanes to 3.9 yards per carry and forced a game-sealing interception from Tyler Van Dyke.
The linebacker leads Florida State with 59 tackles (10.5 for loss) and now ranks fifth in the ACC with seven sacks. He’s also forced a pair of fumbles, including one that he returned for a touchdown, this season.

QB Dillon Gabriel and WR Drake Stoops, Oklahoma
Oklahoma snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday with a dominant 59-20 win against West Virginia thanks to the quarterback-receiver combo. Stoops accounted for three of Gabriel’s five touchdown passes on the afternoon while finishing with 164 yards on 10 catches.
Gabriel accounted for all eight of OU’s touchdowns on the day as he ran in three more and had 423 yards passing. For Stoops, it was his second straight game with double-digit catches and more than 100 yards receiving. The pair will look to keep their connection strong against BYU this week.
RB Jonah Coleman, Arizona
Coleman finished with 179 yards rushing on just 11 carries in Saturday’s 34-31 victory against Colorado. The running back played a pivotal role in getting the Wildcats in position to kick the game-winning field goal, reeling off back-to-back 20-yard runs on the final drive to get them down to the Buffaloes 23-yard line.
It was just the second 100-yard rushing game all season for Coleman, but his ability to show up when his team needed him to lands him on this list. Arizona has now won four straight games and will aim to make it five this week against Utah.
LB Jalen McLeod, Auburn
McLeod rounds out Herbstreit’s list of the top performing players from Week 11 thanks to his play in a 48-10 win against Arkansas. He finished the game with a team-high nine tackles to go with three sacks and forced fumble to help the Tigers to their third straight victory.
McLeod ranks second on the team with 5.5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss this season in helping Auburn achieve bowl eligibility with two games remaining. Next up for the Tigers is a match against New Mexico State before closing the season with the annual rivalry game vs. Alabama.
