Week 10 was an interesting weekend of college football that saw many upsets, close finishes, and monster performances. Following the action, College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit has revealed his top performing players from the Week 10 action.

Herbstreit’s top players from Week 10

1. Purdue QB Aidan O’Connell, WR David Bell: Purdue pulled off a monumental upset over a surging Michigan State team, and the offense was the reason why. Aidan O’Connell and David Bell were in sync all day, both putting up big numbers. O’Connell completed 40 of his 54 passes for 536 yards and three touchdowns. Bell had 11 receptions for 217 yards and a touchdown. The duo was great in Week 10, leading to the top honor from Herbstreit.

2. TCU QB Chandler Morris: An emotional TCU team pulled off the upset last week, beating Baylor 30-28. The Horned Frogs were led by a huge day from Chandler Morris. Morris carried TCU to victory, throwing for 461 yards and two touchdowns while completing 29 of his 41 passes. He also ran the ball 11 times for 70 yards and another touchdown. His huge day was enough to earn him Week 10 honors from Herbstreit.

3. Oregon RB Travis Dye: Oregon’s game against Washington was probably closer than the Ducks would have liked, as they won 26-16. Travis Dye was the star of the game. Oregon struggled to move the ball through the air, but that’s alright when a player can run the ball effectively like Dye did. In the win, Dye had 28 carries for 211 yards and a touchdown, adding two receptions for 13 yards.

4. Ohio State WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba: No Garrett Wilson, no problem? Ohio State was without top wideout Garrett Wilson, but Jaxon Smith-Njigba stepped up in a big way. Smith-Njigba hauled in 15 receptions for 240 yards and a touchdown, leading the Buckeyes offense to victory. Ohio State hung on to beat Nebraska 26-17.

5. North Carolina RB Ty Chandler: Saturday’s game between UNC and Wake Forest was a battle between two dominant offenses. Wake Forest scored 55 points, but it was somehow not enough. That’s because UNC’s Ty Chandler rushed 22 times for 213 yards and four touchdowns. Chandler’s monster day led UNC to a 58-55 victory and earned him Week 10 honors from Herbstreit.

6. Alabama LB Will Anderson: Alabama struggled against LSU, but came away with a 20-14 victory. In the win, the defense stole the show. Anderson solidified his spot as one of the nation’s top defensive players as he has done all season. In the game, Anderson had 12 total tackles including eight solo. He also had 1.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, one pass defended, and two quarterback hurries, constantly wreaking havoc on LSU’s offense. Anderson earned SEC Week 10 Defensive Player of the Week honors as well as the honor from Herbstreit.

7. Penn State WR Jahan Dotson: Penn State’s offense was led by a strong 17-point fourth quarter to solidify a 31-14 win over Maryland. In the game, Jahan Dotson had a monster day. Dotson was seemingly untouchable, hauling in 11 receptions for 242 yards and three touchdowns. He also had an 86-yard touchdown.

8. Arizona State RB Rachaad White: Arizona State picked up a big win in Week 10, beating USC 31-16. The Sun Devils were led by a strong day from Rachaad White. White had 28 carries for 202 yards and three touchdowns in the win. he also added two receptions for 35 yards.
