ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit has named his top-performing players from Week 11 of the college football season, posting his annual weekly awards on his social media accounts Monday evening.
Topping the list was LSU linebacker Harold Perkins, who was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after a monster outing in a narrow 13-10 win over Arkansas on the road. Perkins finished the game with eight tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.
He was one of seven players to earn weekly honors from Herbstreit this week.
Here was Kirk Herbstreit’s complete list of top-performing players from Week 11:
LB Harold Perkins, LSU
WR Kamryn Babb, Ohio State
QB Drake Maye, North Carolina
QB Emmett Morehead, Boston College
QB Michael Penix Jr., Washington
LB Barrett Carter, Clemson
DL Byron Young, Alabama
Kirk Herbstreit’s top-performing players from Week 11
LB Harold Perkins, LSU: Perkins was a one-man wrecking crew in a narrow 13-10 win in a sleepy game at Arkansas. He finished with eight tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.
WR Kamryn Babb, Ohio State: Babb hauled in his first career touchdown catch — scratch that, his first career catch period — in a win over Indiana. A fifth-year wideout, Babb has overcome four ACL injuries and other setbacks, according to a heart-warming story about his touchdown grab from WBNS.
QB Drake Maye, North Carolina: Continuing his Heisman-level campaign, Maye threw for a season-high 448 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-34 win over Wake Forest. He also added 19 carries for 71 yards and a touchdown in the win, all without turning it over.
QB Emmett Morehead, Boston College: Making just his second career start, Morehead helped lift Boston College to an upset of No. 16 NC State on the road. He finished 29-of-48 passing for 330 yards and three touchdowns. He helped the Eagles win despite throwing two interceptions and taking five sacks behind an offensive line plagued by injuries this season.

QB Michael Penix Jr., Washington: The Huskies stunned the Oregon Ducks and likely ruined their playoff aspirations with a 37-34 win. Naturally, Washington’s gunslinger Michael Penix Jr. was a huge part of that, finishing 26-of-35 passing for 408 yards and a touchdown.
LB Barrett Carter, Clemson: Carter was named Clemson’s defensive player of the game after racking up nine tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, 2.0 sacks, an interception and a pass breakup in a 31-16 win over Louisville on Saturday. The Tigers bounced back from their first defeat of the season.
DL Byron Young, Alabama: The Alabama defensive lineman had a huge impact in the win over Ole Miss, recording a career-high 11 tackles in the win. He chipped in two sacks and forced the only turnover of the game when he jarred a fumble loose that later turned into seven points for the Crimson Tide.
