Kirk Herbstreit reveals top-performing players from Week 12

Kirk Herbstreit‘s top-performing players from Week 12 have been revealed, with the prominent ESPN analyst announcing his weekly awards on Twitter on Monday afternoon.

Unsurprisingly, South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler topped the list following his team’s stunning upset of No. 5 Tennessee in Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday night.

Rattler threw for six touchdowns and 438 yards on 30-of-37 passing in a near-flawless performance, lifting the Gamecocks to a 63-38 win over the Volunteers.

But while he had the obvious performance of the week, several others also impressed Herbstreit.

Here were Kirk Herbstreit’s top-performing players from Week 12:

Kirk Herbstreit Top-Performing Players, Week 12

QB Spencer Rattler, South Carolina: The Gamecocks quarterback led his team to an upset of the Volunteers with a virtually perfect outing in front of the home fans. He finished 39-of-37 passing for 438 yards and six touchdowns without an interception, while also adding five carries for 16 yards.

QB Caleb Williams, USC: The Oklahoma quarterback transfer was elite in a shootout against UCLA, going 32-of-43 for 470 yards and two touchdowns. He also added eight carries for 33 yards and a touchdown, helping guide USC to a 48-45 win and preserving the team’s playoff chances.

LB John Marshall, Navy: Helping Navy beat UCF 17-14, Marshall was extremely disruptive. He finished the game with 10 tackles, including 4.0 tackles for a loss, 4.0 sacks and a forced fumble as the Midshipmen completely shut down the Knights offense.

RB Raheim Sanders, Arkansas: The Razorbacks ran roughshod over the Ole Miss Rebels in a huge win, and Sanders keyed the ground game. He ran 24 times for 232 yards and three touchdowns, while also chipping in five catches for 29 yards.

CB Benjamin Morrison, Notre Dame: The Fighting Irish absolutely steamrolled Boston College, which entered the game riding high following a terrific second start for quarterback Emmett Morehead. Morrison made Morehead’s night a nightmare, picking him off three times in the contest.

RB Bijan Robinson, Texas: Robinson surpassed the 200-yard mark for the second time in the last three games, carrying the ball 25 times for 243 yards and four touchdowns in Texas’ 55-14 win over Kansas. He’s now over 1,400 yards rushing on the season, with 16 touchdowns.

K Griffin Kell, TCU: Kell kicked only one field goal in a 29-28 win over Baylor, but it was a massive one. He raced on with time ticking away and managed to boot through a 40-yard field goal for the win, preserving TCU’s unbeaten season and its playoff hopes.

WR Odieu Hilaire, Bowling Green: Hilaire went wild in a 42-35 win in a shootout against Toledo. He finished the day with eight catches for 246 yards and two touchdowns, averaging an eye-popping 30.8 yards per catch as Bowling Green clinched bowl eligibility.
