2026 No. 1 IOL Lamar Brown visited by Texas A&M HC Mike Elko
Many of the nation’s top college programs have extended offers to Erwinville (La.) University Lab five-star interior offensive lineman Lamar Brown ahead of his senior year.
Texas A&M has been an early standout for the 6-foot-3.5, 255-pounder. He told On3’s Chad Simmons in October that the Aggies were at the top of his recruitment and he’s already taken multiple visits to College Station.
On Monday, A&M head coach Mike Elko made his way to The Boot to see the nation’s top IOL:
“Texas A&M is No. 1 and this game helped them in my recruitment,” Brown told On3 after watching A&M defeat LSU this season. “The people there in College Station show a lot of love. Every coach shows love to me every time we see each other. That is why they are on top. I feel like I’m getting more comfortable every visit I take in College Station.”
Brown is currently trending to hometown LSU in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), and while the Tigers will be tough to beat being in his backyard, there’s been momentum behind the Aggies at points throughout his process.

“I feel like I’m getting more comfortable every visit I take in College Station,” Brown said. “As I visit a lot it’s starting to become a place I feel like I can call home. Every coach on the staff showed love the whole day. Even some players showed love especially on the d-line like Nic Scourton because we have some ties outside of A&M. But that entire d-line room always shows love when I’m in town.”
A&M already has 10 commits in the 2026 cycle and a class that ranks No. 5 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That includes six top-200 prospects, all of whom committed in October and November. The class does currently feature an offensive lineman — A&M signed six in the 2025 cycle, headlined by five-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers.
Brown is the No. 11 overall prospect and No. 1 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in Louisiana.
