Rockwall (Texas) three-star quarterback Landyn Locke is no longer signed with Wisconsin, he announced on Monday evening.

Committed since June 22, 2023, Locke announced that he has reopened his recruitment after signing with the Badgers during the Early Signing Period earlier this month. Locke’s older brother, Braedyn, entered the Transfer Portal earlier this month after spending two seasons with the Badgers.

“I have decommitted and am no longer signed to the University of Wisconsin. I am thankful for the opportunity but my recruitment is 100% open,” Locke wrote announcing his decision on X.

Locke is the No. 66 and No. 173 player in Texas in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,133 prospect overall.

At the end of November, Luke Fickell and Wisconsin landed a commitment from Carter Smith, a four-star QB who pledged to the Badgers after decommitting from Michigan. Locke, who also held offers from the likes of Miami, Duke and Cal, is now headed elsewhere.

Locke missed a majority of his senior season after tearing his ACL just two games into the 2024 season. He completed 30 of 54 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns before suffering the season-ending knee injury. He threw for over 1,700 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior while completing better than 60 percent over his attempts.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder was one of 24 signees for the Badgers earlier this month. The class features six four-star prospects and ranks No. 26 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
