Lane Kiffin had more fun on Twitter when he roasted ESPN’s Paul Finebaum Tuesday for his pick of AuburnCal.

The Ole Miss head coach noted Finebaum picked Auburn and guaranteed the Tigers would not lose to the Golden Bears. Well, that didn’t happen.

“What are you good at again??,” Kiffin wrote, tagging Finebaum and the video.

Here’s what Finebaum said, responding to a caller on his show:

“There is no chance Auburn loses to Cal. None. Book it,” Finebaum said before answering if he would like to place a wager on that. “I don’t wager. I just made a statement. You can take that or not. But I don’t know how I can be more emphatic.”

Auburn and Cal ended with the Golden Bears winning 21-14 at Jordan Hare Stadium. Tigers quarterback Payton Thorne was picked off four times.

Auburn loses to Cal after Paul Finebaum guarantee

Auburn coach Hugh Freeze did not commit to a QB change after the Cal game considering Thorne is their best option, currently.

“It’s really hard to not play a young man, whether it’s Payton or whoever, that consistently is the best performer in practice over and over and over again… However, you have to carry that over in games,” Freeze said.

Freeze also shared that, as of right now, Hank Brown is the second-string quarterback for Auburn. However, he did note that Brown will get “his share of reps this week.”
