Lane Kiffin trolls Tennessee football using Country music star Morgan Wallen
There might not be a bigger superstar in country music right now than Morgan Wallen. He has taken the genre, and in some cases the world, by storm, especially after the release of his latest album. Now, with his ‘One Night At A Time’ world tour stopping next in Oxford, Mississippi, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin just couldn’t help himself by using it to poke fun at Tennessee.
Kiffin shared this photo on Twitter earlier today of one of Wallen’s tour trailers parked outside of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, the site of his back-to-back shows tomorrow and Sunday, after performing last night in Louisville. Considering the musician’s love for the Volunteers as a native of a town in Tennessee just outside of Knoxville, Kiffin thought UT fans should know he was happy to take in one of their own as a transfer.
Isn’t that something? Still, it makes sense since Kiffin and Tennessee have an interesting relationship to say the least. However, with the orange being everything Wallen loves and their fans claiming him as their prodigal son, this might be one of the former Vol head coach’s best jabs at Knoxville to date.
Is there a chance we get an appearance from Kiffin at his field at some point during either of the shows this weekend? Who knows. It might be looking 50-50. Even so, it’s safe to say that Wallen will be in enemy territory tonight in an SEC stadium. He’ll just need to watch his head in case any mustard bottles hit the stage in retaliation.

Wallen trolls Nick Saban’s golf swing
Country music star Morgan Wallen trolled Alabama head coach Nick Saban for his golf swing on Wednesday night. After the Players Championship posted an Instagram photo of Saban and former Alabama golfer Justin Thomas at TPC Sawgrass, Wallen commented, “Phillip Fulmer got a better golf swing.”
Wallen, a native of Sneedville, Tennessee, is clearly a Volunteers fan. Fulmer, now 71, retired as the Tennessee AD in January of 2021.
Justin Thomas couldn’t let the Saban slander go, clapping back, “Smoke em if you got ’em!!!!” It was the perfect retort considering the Crimson Tide currently owns a 15-game win streak against Tennessee that dates back to 2007. Tennessee had won 10 games in 12 years before Nick Saban took over in Tuscaloosa.
