LaVonta Bentley injury update: Colorado LB reportedly set to play vs. Colorado State
Colorado linebacker LaVonta Bentley is set to play against Colorado State Saturday night, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.
“Colorado linebacker LaVonta Bentley, who’s been dealing with a foot injury, is set to play tonight vs. Colorado State, a source tells 247Sports/CBS Sports,” Zenitz wrote on Twitter. “Defensive tackle Chidozie Nwankwo, who sustained a shoulder injury last week, is expected to be a game-time decision.”
As Zenitz reported, Bentley is good to go and Nwankwo will attempt to get on the field tonight.
Deion Sanders provided an update on Bentley earlier in the week, among other banged up Colorado players.
“I don’t know if (Isaiah) Hardge is going to play this week,” Sanders noted.
“Bentley? He practiced today. He’s getting it together. He’s still limping a little bit,” added Sanders. “Probably give him tomorrow off because we know what we’re going to get from him on Saturday.”
