In-state WR Lebron Hill talks flip to Purdue
Hammond (Ind.) Morton Senior receiver Lebron Hill announced his commitment to head coach Ryan Walters and Purdue on Tuesday.
Future position coach Cory Patterson led the charge in recruiting the coveted in-state pass catcher.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Hill was a verbal to Louisville. However he returned to the West Lafayette campus this past weekend.
“Coach Walters and of course my receiver coach, Coach CP made me feel like home,” Hill said. “They never once stopped recruiting me. The effort was amazing!”
Hill becomes commit No. 9 for Walters and company in the 2025 class, joining quarterback Sawyer Anderson and offensive lineman Cameron Gorin as the class jewels.

“I think Purdue will be successful because they’re building something special,” Hill said. “They’re a really good coaching staff and people are gonna see that real soon.”
Hill visited West Lafayette several times during his process and the On3 Industry tabs him as the No. 11 prospect in the state.
“My favorite things about Purdue is that it’s close to home,” Hill said. “My family can come see me play and the staff there is amazing.”
As a junior Hill racked up 1,209 all-purpose yards and scored 10 touchdowns.
Besides Purdue and Louisville, Hill had offers from Vanderbilt, Miami and Kentucky among others.
