Georgia wide receiver London Humphreys will be out Saturday against Alabama due to mononucleosis, according to Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald.

The Bulldogs will be down a piece on offense ahead of a top-four matchup Saturday. Humphreys transferred in from Vanderbilt.

The timeline for Humphreys’ return is currently unknown, per the report.

So far this season, Humphreys has two catches for 63 yards and one touchdown. Last year at Vanderbilt, he reeled in 22 catches for 439 yards and four touchdowns.

As a member of the Class of 2023, Humphreys was a three-star recruit out of Nashville (Tenn.) Christ Presbyterian Academy, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 10 overall prospect in the state, the No. 66 wide receiver in the class and the No. 449 overall prospect in the class.

“Yeah, don’t usually write much down,” Smart said. “Just kind of think of things during the week. Things that we did well. Things that you can be really positive about and reassure them that they’ve checked that box. That list grows the closer we get to the game.

“My thoughts grow a little more the night before. It’s not like a set time where I sit down and do anything.”

One thing that has been clear over the time that Smart has spent at Georgia, it’s that he has been able to keep his team focused on the field. The Bulldogs now haven’t lost a game in the regular season since 2020. During that stretch, the Bulldogs have also managed to win multiple national championships in what has been a remarkable run.
