Long-time LSU pledge Decoldest Crawford decommits
Shreveport (La.) Green Oaks four-star wide receiver Decoldest Crawford has decommitted from LSU.
He announced the news Tuesday on his Twitter account.
“After careful consideration and long talks with family, I would like to reopen my recruitment and decommit from LSU,” Crawford tweeted.
Crawford is the No. 407 overall prospect in the country and No. 18 player from Louisiana, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He has been committed to the Tigers for over two years, first announcing his commitment Oct. 28, 2019.
Decoldest Crawford is the second player to decommit from the Tigers within the hour after Watkinsville (Ga.) Oconee County tight end Jake Johnson decommitted earlier Tuesday. Johnson’s brother, Tigers starting quarterback Max Johnson, announced his intention to transfer Tuesday as well.

With the two decommitments, LSU dropped from No. 13 to No. 17 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.
The Tigers now have 11 commits in the 2022 class, led by Monroe (La.) Neville five-star offensive lineman Will Campbell and Lafayette (La.) St. Thomas More Walker Howard.
The two decommitments are the first to happen since Brian Kelly took over as head coach last week.
Crawford’s decommitment comes just hours after Nebraska offered him a scholarship.
The Cornhuskers also offered Lake Charles (La.) Lake Charles College Prep four-star running back TreVonte’ Citizen and Lake Charles (La.) Lake Charles College Prep wide receiver Elijah Garrick on Tuesday.
