LOOK: 4-star EDGE Omari Abor wearing Texas gloves in state title game
Duncanville (Texas) four-star EDGE Omari Abor is playing in the biggest game of his young life Saturday.
And he is rocking Texas merch for the game.
Abor showed up for pregame warmups at AT&T Stadium for the Texas 6A Division I state championship game wearing Longhorns gloves.
Duncanville is playing Houston North Shore, which is looking to win its third state championship in the last four years. Duncanville was the runner-up to Houston North Shore during both those seasons and is aiming for its first state title.
Omari Abor is the No. 68 overall player and No. 6 EDGE in the country, according to the 2022 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He did not sign with a team during the early signing period, which was expected. Abor has a top five of Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Texas and Texas A&M.

The Buckeyes are considered the favorite for Abor, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). RPM gives Ohio State a 95.5% chance of landing the four-star EDGE.
RPM factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
The Longhorns aren’t out of the race, as On3’s Chad Simmons said earlier this week when writing about the nation’s top unsigned 2022 prospects.
“Four-star Omari Abor in Texas has been connected to Ohio State for some time, but Texas has continued to work to stay in this race,” Simmons said. “The Buckeyes are still viewed as the favorite. Abor took an official visit to Ohio State over the summer. He is a February signee.”
