Few recruits are as desired as Arlington (Texas) Bowie five-star interior offensive lineman Devon Campbell.
The top interior offensive lineman and No. 9 overall recruit in the On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — Campbell is the type of recruit who can elevate an offensive line from the moment he steps on campus.
Campbell’s uncle, also named Devon Campbell, posted photos from three of his nephew’s official visits so far. He posted photos from his visits to Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas.
Campbell has also been on an official visit to USC, which occurred in June.
He was scheduled to make an official trip to LSU on Nov. 27 but canceled that following the news Ed Oregron would not return in 2022. There are a group of schools in contention for a visit from Campbell during the final week of the season.

Campbell is scheduled to make his decision on Jan. 2.
Devon Campbell’s recruitment is far from finished
On3’s Chad Simmons reported two weeks ago that while two teams have jumped to the front of the pack for Campbell, he is still weighing his options.
“Alabama is definitely in this, but I am still hearing the most about Oklahoma and Texas,” Simmons said. “It has been a race at the top between the Sooners and the Longhorns for some time. Over the summer, I leaned towards Oklahoma, but this one is tight, and have even heard whispers that Texas, the in-state school, could be trending.”
Gerry Hamilton followed that up this week reporting that the Crimson Tide and Longhorns were getting some of the more recent chatter but that the Sooners are still in it as well.
Either way, it looks like this recruitment is going down to the wire.
