LOOK: Big 12 Conference announces end of season award-winners

With the regular season coming to an end, the Big 12 Conference has announced the award-winners for multiple categories this season. The Big 12 Player of the Year award went to Kansas guard Ochai Agbaji, and plenty of stars around the conference received recognition for their work this year.

Defensive Player of the Year was split between three players this season with Gabe Osabuohien, Moussa Cisse and Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua all receiving the honor. Baylor head coach Scott Drew earned Coach of the Year honors, with four of his players receiving awards as well.

Additional individual awards include Nijel Pack of Kansas State being named Most Improved Player, as well as appearing on the All-Big 12 First Team. Sixth Man of the Year went to freshman Jeremy Sochan from Baylor, while Iowa State’s Tyrese Hunter won Freshman of the Year. Newcomer of the Year went to Iowa State as well, with guard Izaiah Brockington impressing the most this season.
