LOOK: Game times, TV designations released for Saturday's second round NCAA Tournament games
Thursday’s opening round of the NCAA Tournament ruined a lot of brackets, with some Cinderella teams punching their ticket to the second round. Popular Final Four picks Kentucky and Iowa both fell to their first round opponent, with the Wildcats suffering a 85-79 overtime loss to 15-seeded St. Peter’s.
The Hawkeyes, on the other hand, suffered a close 67-63 defeat at the hands of 12-seed and Atlantic 10 Tournament champion Richmond. New Mexico State and Michigan, 12 and 11 seeds respectively, were the other double-digit seeded teams to pull off upsets.
