Louisville 4-star QB commit Pierce Clarkson efficient in playoff rout

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star quarterback Pierce Clarkson didn’t need to do a lot in a 41-6 playoff win over Mission Viejo (Calif.) High.

But when got his opportunities he made the most of it. Clarkson completed only five passes on eight attempts — but three of them went for touchdowns and he threw for 204 yards in total.

He had one touchdown pass of 70 yards and 87 yards.

Clarkson is the No. 245 overall recruit and No. 15 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $159k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. Completed around 60 percent of his pass attempts for 1,416 yards and 16 touchdowns against three interceptions, while also rushing for four touchdowns. A good athlete who is capable of picking up chunk gains with his legs. Shows good quickness in eluding the pass rush and can make some plays when things break down. Has been well-coached as a passer. Lacks natural size at around 6-feet tall, 185 pounds. Can be erratic at times in the 7-on-7 setting. One of the older prospects in the 2023 cycle, turning 18 years-old during his junior season.
