Louisville transfer DL Tawfiq Thomas commits to Colorado
Former Louisville Cardinals defensive lineman Tawfiq Thomas has committed to join Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes via the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
“BREAKING: Former Louisville DL Tawfiq Thomas has Committed to Colorado, he tells @on3sports,” Fawcett posted on X. “The 6’4 305 DL played in 22 games the past 2 seasons Will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.”
Thomas played high school football at Gaither (FL), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 839 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Like his brother, Brandon played high school football at Eagles Landing Christian Academy. However, he is a three-star prospect. Currently, Brandon is the No. 928 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
