Louisville used a big fourth quarter to pull away from the Hurricanes on Saturday. The Cardinals entered the final 15 minutes trailing 28-23, but outscored Miami 15-3 the rest of the way to claim victory.
Louisville quickly scored and converted a two-point conversion to take a 31-28 lead. However, the Hurricanes responded to kick a field goal on the ensuing drive to tie things up. It didn’t take long for the Cardinals to respond, as Jack Plummer found Kevin Coleman for a 58-yard touchdown on the third play of the drive. Plummer finished the day 24-of-37 passing for 308 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Kentucky, on the other hand, didn’t have quite as much luck in Week 12. The Wildcats entered the fourth quarter clinging to a 14-10 lead before giving up the go-ahead touchdown with 7:44 remaining.
They still had a chance to come back but their final two drives of the game ended with a fumble and a turnover on downs. Kentucky ultimately committed three turnovers on the day as it was limited to 293 yards of offense. The loss marks the fifth in the past six games for the Wildcats as they’re reeling heading into the final week of the regular season.
Louisville enters this contest on a four-game losing streak against Kentucky. The Cardinals most recently suffered a 26-13 loss last season in Lexington, but the way they have played this season provides hope that they can get back on the right side of the rivalry.
