Razorbacks are one of nation’s hottest teams coming into second meeting with Tigers

After getting off to a 9-0 start to the season and then losing five of their next six games, the Razorbacks have regrouped – and in a big way – as they’ve now won 13 of their last 14 outings heading into Wednesday’s matchup with LSU – which they beat 65-58 back on Jan. 15 in Baton Rouge.

In its last win over the Tigers, Arkansas trailed 33-31 at halftime but outscored LSU 34-25 in the second half to come out on top. Despite the Razorbacks’ shooting struggles in that game, they were able to finish with a 41-31 advantage in the rebounding category – and that’s what made the difference.

JD Notae led Arkansas with 19 points in the win, while Audiese Toney scored 12 points and Jaylin Williams had 11. LSU was led by Eric Gaines’ 14 points and 13 from both Alex Fudge and Tari Eason.

LSU coming off bounce-back win

Following back-to-back losses to South Carolina and Kentucky, LSU bounced back with a 75-55 victory over Missouri on Saturday. Although the Tigers led by just six points at halftime, they outscored Mizzou 45-31 in the second frame to record the dominant win.

Tari Eason led LSU – which shot 51% from the field – with 18 points off the bench.
