Gonzales (La.) East Ascension four-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez has committed to LSU.

He chose the Tigers while also holding offers from Texas A&M, Oregon, Tennessee, Penn State, Georgia, Florida and others.

Martinez is the No. 59 overall prospect and No. 8 OT in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Louisiana.

On3 ranks the 6-foot-5, 290-pounder as the No. 48 recruit, No. 10 OT and No. 4 player in The Boot.

After being prioritized by Brad Davis, Joe Sloan and the LSU staff, Martinez is now pledged to the in-state Tigers. He logged multiple visits to the SEC program and is yet another top-100 prospect in the mix for head coach Brian Kelly and Co.

Early on in the cycle, LSU has a top-10 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
