LSU OC Joe Sloan visits 4-star IOL Zaden Krempin

Since turning the calendar to 2025, Prosper (Texas) four-star interior offensive lineman Zaden Krempin has had a jam-packed recruitment. The towering 6-foot-5, 255-pounder has plenty of elite programs after his pledge and he spent the spring visiting many of his contenders.
LSU was one of the schools to get Krempin on campus in March. The Tigers have made him a priority and are also set to receive his first official visit on the weekend of May 30.
With a few weeks to go until he’s set to return to Baton Rouge, Krempin is still feeling the love from LSU. On Monday, Tigers offensive coordinator Joe Sloan made his way to Texas to spend some time around the blue-chipper:
Krempin had logged a trip to LSU back in the fall, too, but the Tigers weren’t always high up on his list. That changed earlier this year, thanks to touted offensive line coach Brad Davis.
“I was there for the Alabama game and camp before that. LSU was not really on my list until coach Davis did an in-home visit me in January. That visit really opened the door. It opened my eyes,” Krempin told On3’s Chad Simmons in February. “Talking to coach Davis, hearing what he had to say put LSU back in it. My dad grew up in Louisiana, so I liked LSU as a kid too.”
Now, LSU is battling the in-state powers in Texas, Texas A&M and SMU. Michigan is another program that has had its foot on the gas. Pulling Krempin out of the Lone Star State won’t be easy, but LSU has made a habit of doing just that in recent cycles.
Krempin is the No. 218 overall prospect and No. 16 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 29 player in Texas.

LSU looking to add another top lineman to 2026 class
Head coach Brian Kelly and the LSU staff have already landed 10 commitments this cycle, building a class that currently ranks No. 2 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Two offensive lineman are currently in the fold.
Gonzales (La.) East Ascension four-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez committed back in February and is the No. 108 recruit and No. 10 tackle in the nation. Last summer, New Orleans Warren Easton three-star IOL Jalan Chapman committed.
Two five-stars headline the class. Hattiesburg (Miss.) five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys is the nation’s No. 3 recruit and dropped a surprise pledge on March 19. Last June, New Orleans Edna Karr five-star defensive lineman Richard Anderson, the No. 1 DL nationally, pledged to the in-state school.
Three additional top-100 prospects — Los Angeles Sierra Canyon four-star cornerback Havon Finney, Edna Karr four-star safety Aiden Hall and New Orleans Destrehan four-star WR Jabari Mack — bolster the class thus far.
