2026 No. 1 ATH Joel Wyatt visiting LSU this weekend

Bell Buckle (Tenn.) Webb School four-star athlete Joel Wyatt had already planned a visit to LSU this month, but that trip is now coming one week earlier than originally scheduled.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pounder was set to be in Baton Rouge next weekend, but he’ll now be in town for a spring visit this Friday, he tells On3.
The Tigers have been a top program in Wyatt’s recruitment and have been viewed as the primary competition to in-state Tennessee thus far. Wyatt is also expected to return to Knoxville later this month and has also been eyeing a visit to North Carolina. The Vols are trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Ole Miss has also been heavily in the mix to this point.
Wyatt is the No. 47 overall prospect and top-ranked athlete in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services, as he checks in as the No. 29 prospect in the updated On300.
Wyatt impressed on both sides of the ball for the Webb School as a junior in 2024. He caught 44 passes for 890 yards and 10 touchdowns, ran for a score and also logged 31 total tackles as a safety, per MaxPreps.

New Orleans Edna Karr four-star defensive lineman Richard Anderson is a top-30 recruit and the No. 1 DL in the cycle. He committed last June and sits atop the class alongside his Edna Karr teammate and four-star safety Aiden Hall, the No. 5 safety and No. 55 recruit overall.
Anderson pledged a day before New Orleans McDonogh 35 four-star wide receiver Jakai Anderson did the same. New Orleans Warren Easton three-star interior offensive lineman Jalan Chapman then pledged in July before Hall and Bossier City Airline four-star WR Kenny Darby joined in the fall.
Gonzales East Ascension four-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez is the lone pledge of the year thus far for LSU. He ranks as the No. 92 prospect and No. 8 OT.
Buoyed by a formidable base of close-to-home recruits, LSU is on pace to sign another elite class in the 2026 cycle. Adding Wyatt to the fold will be a top priority for the Tigers moving forward.
