LSU set to hire Ole Miss staffer as director of player personnel
LSU is returning to the Ole Miss personnel pool to fill a key staffing position.
Ole Miss director of player personnel Preston Tiffany is taking the same role with the Tigers, following former Ole Miss chief of staff Austin Thomas to Baton Rouge, a source tells On3. The hire comes after Will Redmond left LSU after three seasons in January for a high-ranking position at Auburn.
Ole Miss recently brought on Billy Glasscock as its new general manager, filling Thomas’ role. He had previously served as the director of player personnel at Texas, working under Steve Sarkisian for the past three seasons.
LSU and Brian Kelly currently boast the top-ranked recruiting class in 2025, headlined by Five-Star Plus+ quarterback and the nation’s top prospect, Bryce Underwood. The Tigers also have commitments from Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore and the top-ranked running back in the class, Harlem Berry.
