Las Vegas Bishop Gorman four-star wide receiver Derek Meadows is in Ann Arbor this afternoon as Michigan gets set to host top-ranked Oregon.

Meadows is currently committed to LSU, having chosen the Tigers over Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Notre Dame on July 20.

The Wolverines got Meadows on campus twice in the spring, including for an official visit at the end of May. Meadows’ parents are originally from the Mitten State.

“Home state for me and my wife,” Derek’s father, DeShawn, said back in July. “We’ve always been Michigan fans growing up. You’re going to be a Michgian fan or Michigan State fan growing up. We were Michigan fans. Have a lot of close ties with folks there. A lot of my family is there. Derek has a lot of family and friends. Great educationally and doesn’t hurt to be National Champions. A lot of support academically.

Notre Dame visit up next

On3’s Steve Wiltfong reported Friday night that Meadows will return to Notre Dame for a visit next weekend when the Irish host Florida State.

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound receiver from Nevada has visited South Bend multiple times, including for an official visit in June. Wiltfong wrote last week that the dialogue between Meadows and Notre Dame has “never wavered” despite his commitment to LSU.

Meadows is the nation’s No. 80 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 11 wide receiver and No. 2 recruit from Nevada in the class.
