Fast-rising SF Luca Foster adds multiple offers this summer; updates recruitment
Luca Foster popped on the radar in a big way this summer. The 6-foot-5 wing from Radnor (PA) Archbishop Carroll played this summer with the Team Final Program on Nike’s E16 Circuit.
“I like to call myself a shooter,” Foster told On3. “I like to make the right plays and play above the rim, really whatever my team needs me to do to get the win. My game has gained a lot more confidence this summer, and I think a lot of people are seeing that. I’ll watch a lot of Kevin Durant because he is a skinnier guy like me, I really want to build my game up like his.”
On3 was able to catch up with Luca Foster after a recent live viewing to discuss the latest in his recruitment.
“I currently have offers from Miami, I got them recently,” Foster said. “Virginia Tech, Villanova, Penn State, and some other ones.”
Foster talks offers
MIAMI: “I don’t know a lot about the program really. I fell in love with the school when my high school team visited there during my freshman year. I really liked the campus and I like how the team plays, their guards, for sure.”
VILLANOVA: “I like their system and their shooting. They’re like a shooting team and I think that fits what I do.”

VIRGINIA TECH: “I don’t really know a lot about their school. I know they like my shooting ability, for sure, and my athleticism. They told me that they think I fit with what they’re trying to build.”
PENN STATE: “I’m pretty close to them, my home is like two hours away. I don’t know much about their program yet though.”
“Pitt is a school that really likes me,” Foster said. “Notre Dame, I think likes me. UCLA, I just picked up interest from them. We will see what those schools do.”
In Luca Foster’s words
“Really, I’m going to be looking closely at how I fit in the system,” Foster said. “Will the coaches let me play? I’m going to build a strong relationship with the coaching staff. Make sure they’re checking in and we are staying in contact.”
