3-star QB Luke Moga delays commitment
Phoenix (Ariz.) Sunnyslope three-star quarterback Luke Moga previously planned to commit on April 28. That is not longer the case.
Moga has delayed his announcement to a date to be determined. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal-caller was scheduled to choose between Oregon, Miami, TCU, BYU, Michigan State and Arizona State.
“I will no longer be committing on April 28 and taking my time,” Moga told On3. “I’m looking forward to spring ball with my teammates.”
Moga is the No. 522 overall prospect and No. 31 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in Arizona.
On3 rates Moga higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2024 On300, Moga is the No. 23 quarterback in the country and No. 8 player in Arizona.
Moga is a fast-rising prospect in the 2024 cycle
Moga has visited multiple schools this spring. They include Oregon (April 22), TCU (March 7) and Miami (March 25).
“I would just say show me where they can use me in their offense and build a great relationship with me,” Moga previously told On3 about how a program can stand out to him. “When you get to school, it’s not gonna be about relationships. It’s gonna be about winning and I understand that, but just understand where I’m coming from and my timeline and my progression and be there to fully support me.”

Moga is one of the faster-rising prospects in the 2024 cycle. Following his junior season, Arizona State, BYU and multiple Mountain West programs offered him.
Then, Miami, Oklahoma State and Oregon among other Power Five schools followed suit.
“I started playing football freshman year, so that’s a huge attraction with how fast I learned, how quick I learned,” Moga said. “I don’t even like to say I have a ceiling because that’s how high it is and that’s how these coaches see how high it is. They just all want to get me to their school so they can develop me and get me to that endless ceiling.”
In addition to Miami, Oregon and TCU, both in-state programs have hosted Moga. He last visited Arizona State on Jan. 13 and Arizona on Nov. 25.
At the moment, Moga holds 20 offers. Along with the aforementioned schools, Arizona, Michigan State, NC State, Northwestern, Purdue and Virginia are some other programs to extend them.
