2024 4-star QB Mabrey Mettauer announces commitment date
The Woodlands (Texas) four-star quarterback Mabrey Mettauer announced his commitment date on Thursday. He will be revealing his decision on Dec. 24.
Mettauer is the No. 312 overall prospect and No. 22 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 46 player in Texas.
The 6-foot-5.5, 228-pound signal-caller currently holds 16 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, LSU is leading for his commitment at 37.8%. Other schools behind the Tigers are Baylor (11.7%) and Ole Miss (10.1%).
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

Mettauer took unofficial visits to multiple programs this fall. They included Baylor (Oct. 22), LSU (Oct. 8) and North Carolina (Oct. 29).
The Lone Star State native has an On3 NIL Valuation of $37K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
