Marvin Jones, nation's No. 1 player, narrows list to five schools
Five-star EDGE Marvin Jones Jr. of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage has narrowed his list to five schools- Florida State, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma.
Jones said that each of his final schools have strong points that he is considering.
Florida State
“Florida State has had success with defensive ends, and I have great relationships with almost everyone on the staff,” Jones said. “The fans always show me love and they do their best to make Tallahassee feel like home for me.”
Alabama
“Coach (Sal) Sunseri and I have an amazing relationship and Bama is known for putting guys in the NFL consistently,” Jones said. “Alabama is the standard.”
Georgia
“With 2 starters leaving, Coach (Dan) Lanning believes that I can come in and make an early impact,” Jones said. “Georgia is one of the best schools at consistently producing outside linebackers and I can definitely see myself playing in Athens.”
Texas A&M
“I have a great relationship with Coach (Terry) Price as well as Coach (Jimbo) Fisher,” Jones said. “Their defense requires their edge guys to do a lot of things that I feel like I’m capable of. They have an extremely large fan base and the fans do a great job of taking care of their players when they’re done playing.”
