Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern On300 cornerback Mason Alexander announced his commitment to Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Alexander chose the Panthers over Purdue and several others.

The four-star Alexander took his official visit to Pitt over the weekend and told Pat Narduzzi and his staff he was in.

“They were my first offer so I’ve always had that connection and Coach Archie Collins always made me feel like a priority,” Alexander said. “Once I got there Coach Collins broke my game down the good and the bad and told me how they would use me.

“I just felt genuine love from the entire coaching staff seeing the way the players connected with each other it just felt like the place for me.”

Alexander becomes commit No. 17 for the Panthers in the class-of-2025. He is tabbed by the On3 Industry as the nation’s No. 31 cornerback and No. 344 prospect overall. On3 slots him at No. 25 and No. 279.
