Mater Dei freshman RB Jordon Davison establishing himself as elite recruit
The Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei talent pipeline is not in trouble of drying up anytime soon. That’s especially true with freshman running back Jordon Davison establishing himself as a big-time national recruit.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Davison picked up his first offer from Florida Atlantic last August. He then added Utah State, Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Utah, Oregon, Nevada and Oklahoma State offers.
But in the last 24 hours, Davison has landed two new offers that firmly planted his name on the national radar.
Davison shared on social media that he picked up an offer from USC on Sunday. And then early Monday morning, Davison got an offer from Arizona.
The new offers put Davison at the double-digit mark and more will surely be on the way – especially if he keeps playing like he did last weekend against Texas powerhouse Duncanville.
Davison, who previously lived in Walnut Creek, Calif., scored a 13-yard touchdown on his first varsity carry in the third quarter of the game.

Jordon Davison set for stardom
What makes Jordon Davison an even more intriguing prospect is that he could also be recruited on the defensive side of the ball. He said he also plays linebacker and free safety. But based on his early success, and admiration of running backs, he would rather play on offense in college.
“Jordon Davison may ultimately be the most talented running back at Mater Dei and will be a big-time national recruit by 2022,” said Scott Schrader of WeAreSC.
That’s quite the statement because Mater Dei senior running Raleek Brown is a four-star prospect committed to the Oklahoma Sooners.
Brown, who is 5-8 and 185 pounds, had 35 offers before he committed to the Sooners in early February. Brown also took the ball for a 76-yard score on Mater Dei’s first offensive play of the game. So, if Davison is better, that’s a scary thought.
